Department of Rheumatology & Immunology was established 2 decade ago at Shaikh Zayed Federal Postgraduate Medical Institute Lahore and since then it has been serving masses. Huge number of patients from all over the Punjab and other provinces are being referred for treatment of arthritis and different rheumatic diseases. This Department is recognised by College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan and University of Health Sciences Lahore for Fellowship and MD programmes respectively.

Currently Department has 7 fellowship and 2 MD trainees who work under supervision of professor and associate professor. While it has produced several trained rheumatologists who are working in different hospitals of distant areas and providing their services to the masses.
